JUSTYNA BRIEFJES - VIOLIN
Justyna started learning the violin at the age of nine with Sjanneke Laghuwitz. She studied at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague with Peter Brunt, Janet Krause and Kees Hülsmann, and for two years History of Art at the University of Amsterdam. Justyna took part in masterclasses with Mauricio Fuks, Herman Krebbers and Alexander Kerr. She played as concertmaster and soloist with the Noord-Hollands Youth Orchestra and was principal second violin of the National Youth Orchestra of the Netherlands. She was also a member of the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival Orchestra and the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra. Justyna participated in the Academy of the Concertgebouw Orchestra, Amsterdam and in March 2004 joined the Residentie Orkest, The Hague as assistant principal second violin.
Justyna has performed in many chamber music ensembles and since 2006 she is a member of The Hague String Trio (www.thehaguestringtrio.com).
