HANS EIJSACKERS Hans Eijsackers is a classical Dutch pianist who is much in demand, especially as an accompanist. He has played piano with with Hexagon since 2000. Bon viveur. Looks after the architecture of the music. He studied piano at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. Taught by Gérard van Blerk, Jan Wijn and György Sebök. Has won lots of prizes, including first prize at the Rotterdam Piano Competition, the Princess Christina Competition and the European Piano Competition (Luxembourg, 1991). Now he works primarily with Hexagon and teaching at the Royal Conservatory. Also makes frequent appearances as a soloist and song accompanist. Part of a duo with mezzo-soprano Xenia Meijer, with whom he appeared during a European tour at such venues as the Musikvereinsaal in Vienna, the Alte Oper in Frankfurt, in Athens and Stockholm. His composition El Beso (for voice, alto saxophone and piano) was performed during the tour. In 2001, he could be heard as an accompanist at Carnegie Hall, New York. Hi greast love is composing.
