GESA LUECKER- PIANO
Born in Braunschweig, Germany in 1976, Gesa Luecker began her piano studies
in the age of seven with the russian pianist Larisa Vodovoz and two years
later, gave her first concerts.
Aged 12 she performed already as a soloist piano concertos with the orchestra
and since then she has been regularly invited to play with several renowned
orchestras in Germany and Italy.
Gesa Luecker has played extensive solo recitals and chamber music concerts worldwide.
Among these were several performances in important venues in Germany, such
as the Congressional Center and the NDR-Radiostation-Hall in Hannover.
After winning the first prize and Beethoven-Award in the International Piano
Competition IBLA Grand Prize 2004, in the season 2005 she was invited for a
concert tour in the U.S.A. (Arkansas, Virginia, New York) which included her
Carnegie Hall debut (Weill Recital Hall) in New York.
Gesa Luecker has received many prizes in national and international
competitions like:
Prizewinner in the national German competition "Youth makes music",
Laureate of the "Bruno-Frey-Foundation",Supportment for young artists,
Germany,
Third Prize in the International Piano Competition Pianello Val Tidone,
Italy.
2004 Audience Prize and Jury Prize of the Chopin- Society in Hanover,
Germany.
Since 1993 Gesa has studied with Prof. Martin Dörrie in Hanover.
She has also worked with other famous personalities like Arie Vardi,
Matti Raekallio, Fabio Bidini, Lazar Berman, David Wilde, Jerome Rose and
Earl Wild.
At the moment Gesa Luecker is graduating from the University of Music and
Drama Hanover in the concert exam program.
Furthermore, she is assistant of Prof. Martin Dörrie in several
masterclasses.
