PEPIJN MEEUWNS - CELLO
He was born in Holland in 1974. He studied cello with
Jean Decroos and Dmitri Ferschtman at the Royal Conservatory
in the Hague. He completed his solo studies in cello at
the Royal Conservatory of The Hague in 2001. During his
studies, Meeuws was actively involved in chamber music
and attended couses with a.o. Uzi Wiezel, Iwan Monighetti,
Steven Isserlis ,Frans Helmerson. With Rostislav Dubinsky
(Borodin Kwartet) and Menahem Pressler (Beaux Arts Trio).
He joined with violinist Sanne Hunfeld and pianist Maurice
Lammerts van Bueren to form the pianotrio "Trio
Suleika". The group has won several awards like
The 'Vriendenkrans of the Concertgebouw' and
now enjoys a prominent position in Dutch music life. Meeuws
also performs as a soloist with various orchestras. Pepijn
is member of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra. |
